I've read hundreds of posts on N4G by people claiming that the PS3 is much more popular than the 360 in the UK, and that it is only the "idiot Americans" who like the 360 and are making it sell, and yet the 360 is outselling the PS3 in the UK. So whats the deal? Sure the 360 is getting crushed in France and Spain, but those countries are too small to matter much. California alone probably buys more consoles than France and Spain combined. So whats the deal with the UK?

Microsoft "usually has a requirement for pushing quality with software"? I guess you've never heard of vampire rain, bulletwitch, two worlds, perfect dark zero, turning point fall of liberty, and so on and so on? There are so many terrible 360 games I can't even remember them all. Yeah, good quality software requirement there.
Have you seen both versions of COD4 on the same TV? The 360 version of COD4 has much better textures and much better anti-aliasing. They are really not the same.
What?! Every video game magazine and web-site is biased and fanboyish. But the vast, vast majority of them are microsoft whores. Gamepro and Play are the only sony fanboy magazines out there. They rest are, for all intents and purposes, owned by mircosoft. Are you telling me that all those 10 scores given out to Halo 3 were deserved? Hell no. Gaming journalism is corrupt, period.

Wii owners are soccer moms and little kids. Why would soccer moms and little kids buy PS3s? PS2 owners who haven't gotten a next-gen system yet are going to buy PS3s in 2008. They are the ones who will drive PS3 sales. The Wii is aimed at a totally different group of people than the PS3.

I don't own a Wii and never will, but maybe this is a good thing. Once in a while it would be nice to play a game on-line and not have to listen to a bunch of foul-mouthed, racist idiot teenagers all the time. Maybe nintendo is on to something here. I'm tempted to buy a Wii now, after hearing this news.
It's been said a thousand times before, but apparently it needs to be said again--competition is good for gaming. Even the biggest sony fanboy in the world shouldn't want the xbox to completely fail, because a successful xbox just pushes sony to create an even better playstation, and now that nintendo has made the move from creating video games to creating yoga equipment, the xbox is the only competition sony has.

You couldn't be more wrong. The problem with the sixaxis isn't that Sony hasn't changed their controller enough since the days of the PS1, but that they have changed their controller too much. The PS2 controller was perfect and they should have made the PS3 controller identical to it. Instead, they ruined the R2 and L2 buttons by changing them into triggers. They should have left the R2 and L2 buttons the way they were on the PS2 controller. Nevertheless, the sixaxis is still infinitely bette...

What he forgot to point out was that COD4 looked much better on the 360 than on the PS3. The 360 had much better textures and anti-aliasing. Not a big deal, but there is a difference in the 360's favor. (I'm not a 360 fanboy, I own both consoles and both consoles are great, I'm just saying.....)
